Join us at our very first delegation tour to Russia and explore a new market
Wind in Russia
Recently, Vestas has decided to invest 1 billion rubles (DKK 108 million) to perform the construction of a wind turbine blade factory, which will be situated in Ulyanovsk. Vestas and the region of Ulyanovsk will be dependent on well-functioning sub-suppliers, if they are to successfully implement large projects in the Russian Federation.
In the last couple of years, renewable energy has seen a remarkable development both in terms of growth and increasing interest on government and business side to deploy renewable energy in large scale. Now there is a window of opportunity to enter and advance on the Russian market.
In the Energy Strategy of 2035 of the Russian Federation, there is shift towards prioritization of renewable energy. This means that the Russian government has allocated funds to the regions and issued several political initiatives to address the energy challenges and reach their goal of moving away from dependency on traditional energy sources.
